Returning annual covered dish or donation family buffet style dinner to celebrate zero mile local produce and growing community.
Preparing and sharing our locally grown produce is an indispensable step to agrarian urban agriculture. At minimum we create space for a harvest to table community coming together opportunity annually. This takes place in November to commemorate the anniversary of the origin of FarmNet. FarmNet is a result of the first community garden in Pasco County started in 1990. The residents of New Port Richey came together with City Council to begin this ongoing network of agrarian projects and programs to grow food and community.
This dinner is a unique harvest to table event. Residents will have the opportunity to bring a covered dish made with local harvest or make a suggested donation of $25.00 for a seat at this family buffet style dinner highlighting local seasonal harvest. Vegan or Vegetarian will be a preference. Animal protein dishes will be allowed, and requested to be clearly labeled as such. It will be required for all dishes to be labeled for those
in the community with specific dietary requirements.
