What our event Will Feature:
All produce is from local organic farms and gardens, featuring various types of collard greens and including other cool weather crops: assorted kales, arugula, bok choy, Asian Collards (Peking Ta Ching) – among others. Organizers are expecting broccoli but cannot guarantee it.
Tours and of Grand Gardens will be offered and a program about FarmNet and New Port Richey's growing urban agriculture project will be presented.
At the conclusion of the festival, around 1:00 or so, those who are interested will have an opportunity to acquire a plot at Grand Gardens: New Port Richey's oldest and largest community garden. Program begins around 12:00 noon.
Tours and plot selection from 12:30 to 1:30
There is no charge to attend and donations will be gratefully received, with 100% of all donations going to FarmNet programming.
